MEDICINE FOR THE PEOPLE

In this Right to Health Web-in, we'll unpack why drug prices are so high and what we can do about it. We’ll talk about drug pricing, research & development, as well as the important role of advocacy during this time to ensure that all people have access to the medicine they need. A pandemic is not over anywhere until it is over everywhere!

MODERATED BY VICTOR ROY, MD

During the panel portion of the web-in, we'll hear from the following leaders:

  • Afton Cissell — Senior Counsel, Congressman Lloyd Doggett

  • Navya Dasari — Coordinating Committee Fellow, Universities Allied for Essential Medicines

  • Zain Rizvi — Law & Policy Researcher, Public Citizen

After the panel, we will break into small group discussions to strategize how we can collectively demand that Congress implement legislation that guarantees medicines and vaccines subsidized by U.S taxpayers are kept in the public domain, free to everyone, everywhere!
